Sabbath Rest for the Soul
Scripture Foundation
Hebrews 4:9-11 says, "So then, a sabbath-rest still remains for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has also ceased from his work as God did from His. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by the same kind of disobedience." In Exodus 20:8-11, God commands us to remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Mark 2:27 reminds us that the Sabbath was made for people, not people for the Sabbath. And Psalm 95:7-8 encourages us to enter His rest, for He has spoken and will not lie.
