Practicing Presence in the Pause
As fathers, we often find ourselves in the midst of chaos, juggling multiple responsibilities and demands. In these moments, it's easy to lose sight of what's truly important. But what if we could learn to cultivate a sense of presence and mindfulness in the midst of the chaos?

Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:34 (NIV) "Come and be still, and know that I am God." - Psalm 46:10 (NIV) "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength." - Isaiah 30:15 (NIV)Main Content
Mindfulness is not a new concept, but it's one that's gaining popularity in today's fast-paced world. And for good reason. When we're mindful, we're more present, more focused, and more aware of our thoughts, emotions, and surroundings. But as fathers, we often struggle to find moments of mindfulness in our busy lives. So, what does it mean to practice presence in the pause? It means taking a step back from the chaos and finding stillness in the midst of the storm. It means acknowledging that we can't control everything, and that's okay. It means trusting in God's goodness and sovereignty, even when we don't understand. In this exercise, we'll explore the connection between mindfulness, trust, and presence. We'll look at how these concepts are woven together in Scripture and how we can apply them to our daily lives as fathers. Take a few minutes to reflect on the following questions: * What does it mean to you to be present in the moment? * How do you currently practice mindfulness or self-care? * What are some areas in your life where you struggle to find presence or trust?Learning Objectives
