Embracing the Weight of Now

As we navigate the ups and downs of life, it's easy to get bogged down by the weight of our circumstances. But Jesus invites us to lay our burdens at His feet, trusting that He is our Rock and our Salvation.

Scripture Focus

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

Main Message

As we walk through the uncertainty of life, it's easy to get caught up in worries about what's to come. But Jesus reminds us that today is all we have. He invites us to lay our burdens at His feet, trusting that He is our Rock and our Salvation. In Romans 8:28, we're reminded that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." And in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, we're told that "most gladly would I have been rid of the flesh, so that I might by no means be hindered from being that for the Father which Christ Jesus hath by (God) for the church. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." And in Philippians 4:13, we're reminded that "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." As we face the uncertainties of life, may we find peace in knowing that God is our Rock and our Salvation. May we lay our burdens at His feet, trusting that He is able to carry us through the darkest of times.
