Finding Peace: A Biblical Approach to Anxiety and Stress
Scripture Foundation
Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Matthew 6:25-34 reminds us, "So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Psalm 55:22 assures us, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." Isaiah 41:10 encourages us, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." John 14:27 reminds us, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or be afraid."
