Opening Reflection
As a divorced individual, you may be facing a storm of emotions, memories, and uncertainties. It's natural to feel overwhelmed, but today, let's explore how Jesus can calm the storm within.
Scripture Focus
Mark 4:35-41: "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still.' Then the wind died down, and a great calm spread over the lake."
Main Message
As we navigate the challenges of divorce, it's easy to feel like we're in the midst of a raging storm. But Jesus is not oblivious to our struggles. He sees us, He hears us, and He is able to calm the storm within. Psalm 131:2 reminds us, "My soul finds rest in God alone." In Isaiah 43:2, God assures us, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you." And in Isaiah 40:26, we're told, "Lift up your eyes on high and see: Who created these?" Our God is a God of peace, who whispers reassurances in the midst of turmoil.
