Prayers for Hope in the Dark
Scripture Foundation
In Habakkuk 3:17-18, we read: "Though the fig tree wither, and the vines wither, they will sing a song of joy. Though their branches fail to produce fruit, they will be a temple of praise." In Job 13:15, Job says, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him." Psalm 42:11 reminds us, "Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you in turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." And Romans 5:3-5 tells us that "we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

- That I would not be shaken by the turmoil around me, but stand firm in my faith.
- For the Lord to be my Rock, my Refuge, and my Savior in the midst of chaos.
