Practicing the Presence of Peace

In the midst of chaos and uncertainty, we often find ourselves searching for peace. But where do we find it? Today, we'll explore the biblical principles for finding peace and learn how to apply them to our daily lives.

Scripture Foundation

Matthew 6:25-27 says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap. They do not store in barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. And don’t you be worried about what you will wear. For the Gentiles pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them." (NIV)

Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (NIV)

Isaiah 26:3 says, "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you." (ESV)

And Psalm 131:8 encourages us, "The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” (ESV)
