Practicing the Presence of Peace

In this busy world, it's easy to get caught up in worry and anxiety. But what if we could experience the peace that comes from being present with God? Let's explore three ways to prioritize God's presence in our daily lives.

Scripture Foundation

Matthew 6:25-27 says, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap. They do not store in barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. And don't be worried about what you will wear. For your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you." (NIV)

Main Content

Three ways to prioritize God's presence in our daily lives are:
  • 1. Focus on God's sovereignty: Recognize that God is in control and that He cares for you. Trust in His goodness and provision, just as the birds of the air trust in their Father's care.
  • 2. Prioritize His kingdom: Seek first God's kingdom and His righteousness, and trust that He will provide for all your needs.
  • 3. Practice mindfulness: Take time to be present with God, focusing on His presence and His love for you. Practice mindfulness meditation, journaling, or simply take a few deep breaths and acknowledge His presence.
