Practicing the Presence of God
Scripture Foundation
Matthew 18:20 says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." This verse reminds us that God is always present with us, even when we're surrounded by others. Psalm 139:1-4 reveals God's intimate knowledge of us, saying, "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my coming in; you are familiar with all my ways." Colossians 3:3-4 encourages us to be "filled with Christ" and to set our minds on things above. And Hebrews 13:5-6 reminds us that God has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you."
