Practicing the Presence of God

In the midst of life's chaos, it's easy to lose sight of God's presence. But what if we could learn to recognize and cherish His presence in every moment? In this 30-minute spiritual exercise, we'll explore how to cultivate a deeper awareness of God's presence and trust in His sufficiency.

Scripture Foundation

Matthew 18:20 says, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Psalm 139:7-12 reminds us, "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there." Hebrews 13:5 assures us, "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'" Colossians 3:3 reminds us that we are "hidden with Christ in God." These verses serve as our foundation for understanding and experiencing God's presence.

Main Content

As we navigate life's uncertainties, it's easy to feel like God is distant or absent. But what if we could learn to recognize His presence in every moment? Take a few minutes to reflect on the following: * When have you experienced God's presence in a powerful way? How did you sense His presence? * In what situations do you feel most disconnected from God? What might be causing that disconnection? * How can you intentionally seek out God's presence in those moments of disconnection? Take a few minutes to journal your thoughts and reflections. Ask yourself questions like: * What is one way I can acknowledge God's presence in my daily life? * How can I prioritize seeking God's presence over distractions and worries? * What is one step I can take today to deepen my awareness of God's presence?
