Practicing the Presence of God

In this 60-minute growth track, we'll explore the importance of recognizing and embracing God's presence in our daily lives.

Scripture Foundation

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:20 "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For in Christ all the fullness of God's goodness lives in bodily form." - Colossians 3:3-4 "So I will trust in him and not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" - Hebrews 13:5 "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways." - Psalm 139:1-4

Main Content

When we think about God's presence, we often focus on grand, spectacular moments – like mountaintop experiences or dramatic answers to prayer. While those are certainly significant, we can't ignore the everyday moments when God's presence is just as real, yet often overlooked. Take a few minutes to reflect on your daily routine. Where do you feel most connected to God? Is it during your morning devotions, during a quiet moment in nature, or perhaps while serving others? As you reflect, remember that God is always present, even in the mundane tasks of life. Practice recognizing His presence by intentionally looking for Him in every moment, no matter how small or ordinary it may seem. "I will trust in him and not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5) Take a few deep breaths and imagine God's presence surrounding you, guiding you, and loving you. Feel His comfort, peace, and joy. "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways." (Psalm 139:1-4)
