Practicing Resilience in Faith

As missionaries, we face many challenges that test our faith. In this 15-minute growth tracker, we'll explore how to cultivate resilience in our walk with God.

Scripture Foundation

Romans 5:3-5 reminds us that, "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Job 13:15 says, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." James 1:2-4 encourages us to "consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. As you need something like gold that is tested by fire, so your faith is tested by trial." And 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 reminds us that "we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." These scriptures teach us that our struggles are not a sign of God's absence but rather an opportunity for growth and perseverance.
