Practicing Resilience in Faith
Scripture Foundation
Consider James 1:2-4, where James writes, "Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing." (NIV)
Similarly, Romans 5:3-5 reminds us, "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit." (NIV)
In Ephesians 3:13, we're encouraged to "with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view be submissive to one another, worshipping one another." And in Psalm 34:17, we're told, "When the righteous cry out, the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." (NIV)
