Practicing Presence in the Storm
Scripture Foundation
Isaiah 43:2 says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; the flames shall not set you ablaze."
Matthew 14:25-27 tells us that Jesus walked on the water, demonstrating his sovereignty and control over the storm. Psalm 23:4 reminds us that "your rod and your staff, they comfort me." John 16:33 assures us that "in this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

- Acknowledging God's sovereignty: Recognize that God is in control, even when we can't see or understand what's happening.
- Focusing on God's promises: Reflect on God's promises to be with us in the storm, and trust that he will deliver us.
- Practicing mindfulness: Take time to breathe, relax, and focus on the present moment, rather than getting caught up in worry or fear.
