Practicing Holy Ground

In Exodus 3:5, we read that Moses came across a burning bush that was not consumed by the flames. God spoke to him from the bush, saying, "Do not come closer! Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." What did God mean by "holy ground"? How do we consecrate ourselves as living sacrifices to God?

Scripture Foundation

Exodus 3:5 - "Do not come closer! Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground."

Romans 12:1-2 - "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice—holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship."

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - "Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Should one part of it seem separate, should it not say, 'For it is for me'? In that case, if it is for you only and not for all, wasn't Christ being partly something? So then, what am I? That which I do not? Since I am not cut off from Christ the parts of me that are used for the rest—should I seek a prize at the games?"

1 Peter 2:9 - "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."
