Opening Reflection
As you begin your day, take a moment to acknowledge the deep longing within. It's a hunger that can't be satisfied by earthly things, but only by the One who created us to crave Him.
Scripture Focus
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for the living God. When shall I come and appear before your face? (Psalm 42:1-2)
Main Message
In Psalm 42, David expresses a deep longing for God. He's thirsty for the living God, yearning to appear before His face. This hunger is not just about sustenance, but about connection, intimacy, and wholeness. Jesus said, "If you come to me, you will never go hungry. And you will never be thirsty" (John 6:35). He is the Bread of Life, satisfying our deepest cravings. In John 4:13-14, Jesus reveals that His water is life-giving and eternal. He invites us to come to Him and drink, promising that our souls will never thirst again.
