Opening Reflection

As missionaries, you often face challenges and setbacks. It's easy to feel like your efforts are in vain, like you're just a tiny leaf blown away by the winds of adversity. But today, let's remember that we're rooted in something much stronger than our own strength.

Scripture Focus

For this reason we also, since the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of God's will—my sanctification and the fullness of holiness as I pray constantly for you, that by such prayers I might be granted the ministry I now have among you, which is administered by the workings of the Spirit." (Colossians 1:9-10, NIV)

Main Message

In Colossians 1:23, Paul writes, "He has disarmed the principalities and powers and put them in open shame, for he has brought nothing into captivity through him. Now no longer do we praise you on man's authority, for that would be necessary." This verse reminds us that our strength and resilience come from Christ, not from our own abilities or accomplishments. When we're rooted in Him, we're not blown away by life's storms. We're anchored to His unshakeable foundation.
