Opening Reflection

As you begin this new chapter in your life, you may be faced with challenges that test your faith. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the headlines of the world, but today, we're going to explore the hope that lies beyond the headlines.

Scripture Focus

"And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

Main Message

In Habakkuk 2:2-3, we read, "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits me, and it will be stirred up through prophecy—more than the previous one—the roar of the tumult, the trampling and stamping beneath the feet, and the commotion as an armed chariot." The prophet Habakkuk was instructed to write down the revelation, to make it plain and clear. Why? Because God knew that the message would be met with turmoil and opposition. And yet, Habakkuk obeyed, trusting in God's sovereignty and goodness. In Psalm 42:11, we see David crying out to God, "Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why are you in turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." David's soul was troubled, but he didn't give up. He put his hope in God, knowing that His presence would bring peace. Colossians 1:5 reminds us that Christ is the image of the invisible God, full of goodness and truth. As we face challenges, we must remember that our hope is not in the headlines, but in the One who is above them all. As you navigate the challenges of life, remember that your hope is not in the circumstances, but in the One who is sovereign and good. Your hope is not in the headlines, but in the One who is above them all. Your hope is not in what you can control, but in the One who is in control.
