Embracing Imperfect Rest
As missionaries, we often find ourselves worn out from the demands of our work. We may feel like we're constantly running on empty, with no energy left to spare. But today, let's take a moment to embrace the imperfect rest that Jesus offers.
Scripture Focus
'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
Main Message
In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites us to come to him with our burdens. He doesn't promise us a life free from challenges or struggles, but he does offer a life of rest. This rest isn't about avoiding hard work or responsibilities, but about finding our strength and energy in him. Just as the Israelites wandered through the wilderness, God led them by day and protected them by night, so too can we trust Jesus to guide and sustain us on our journey.
