Opening Reflection

As we journey through life, we often face setbacks and uncertainties. It's easy to get discouraged and lose sight of God's plan. But the Bible reminds us that even in the midst of imperfection, God is working all things together for our good.

Scripture Focus

For it is God's purpose that your faith may be credited as righteousness for the benefit of Christ's body, so that, just as from one loaf of bread come many pieces, and we all become partakers of that one loaf, so we, though many, become one body, all partaking of the one loaf.

Main Message

Philippians 1:6 says, "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." This verse is a powerful reminder that even when we feel like we're making little progress or taking two steps back, God is still at work in us. He is the one who began a good work in us and will carry it on to completion.

Reflection Questions

  • What areas of your life do you feel like you're struggling with or making little progress?
  • How can you trust that God is still working in those areas, even when you don't see immediate results?
  • What specific ways can you surrender those areas to God and trust Him to carry out His good work in your life?
  • How can you encourage yourself and others to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow?
  • What does it mean to you that God is the one who began a good work in you and will carry it on to completion?

Prayer Focus

  • Pray for God to reveal areas where He is working in your life, even if you don't see immediate results.
  • Ask God to give you the strength and courage to surrender those areas to Him and trust Him to carry out His good work.
  • Pray for patience and perseverance as you trust God to complete the good work He has begun in you.
  • Ask God to give you a sense of His presence and guidance as you navigate life's challenges.
  • Pray for others who may be struggling with similar issues, that God would work in their lives as well.
