Opening Reflection
As we embark on this journey of spiritual growth, we often find ourselves struggling to bridge the gap between our heart and our habits. We may feel like our actions and attitudes are disconnected from our innermost desires and values. Today, we'll explore how gratitude can be the key to bridging this gap.
Scripture Focus
For God is not unfair; he will not ignore your hard work and the kind of fearful attitude that pertains to righteousness, which has led you to the moment of this joy. You suffer now for a little while, undergoing trial, that the genuineness of your faith, being more precious than gold—though it is perishable—even though it is praised by the world as glorious and is a worthy prize for those busily engaged in it—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Main Message
In Galatians 6:9-10, Paul reminds us that our labor in the Lord is not in vain. Our struggles and trials are not a punishment, but rather an opportunity for our faith to be refined and purified. When we focus on gratitude, we can see that our hardships are not a hindrance to our spiritual growth, but rather a catalyst for it. Gratitude helps us to shift our perspective, allowing us to see that even in difficult times, God is working all things together for our good.
