Opening Reflection
As single parents, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the endless tasks and responsibilities that come with caring for your children. It's like trying to navigate a never-ending stream of information on social media, with notifications pinging in your ear and demands for attention from all directions.
Scripture Focus
"The voice of one crying out, 'In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.' Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; and all flesh shall see it together: and the mouth of the Lord have spoken." - Isaiah 40:8
Main Message
In this moment of chaos, God speaks a word of hope and reassurance. He reminds us that even in the midst of our struggles, He is working to prepare a path for us. Just as the wilderness was made ready for the Lord's arrival, so too can we trust that our own path will be made smooth and straight. Psalm 103:12 reminds us that He has removed our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west. Ephesians 3:20 assures us that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. And Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.
