Let your eyes be fixed on Jesus, who gives you great joy. Make him your foundation, your anchor, and your hope.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and vermin destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Since you have heard from us about what will happen, if you keep yourselves pure from idols, you will be the kind of people whose hearts are focused and undivided. And you will worship the one true God.

So then, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that dulls our consciences, or that makes the blood of Christ powerless to cleanse us from a guilty conscience, or that makes us fall short of His purifying power. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.

(1 Corinthians 4:2)

When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we are reminded that our ultimate treasure is not in this world, but in heaven. This changes our perspective on what is truly important. We no longer are distracted by the fleeting things of this world, but instead are focused on the eternal and unchanging God.

In today's digital age, it's easy to get caught up in the constant stream of information and entertainment. But as believers, we must be intentional about setting our minds on things above, not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2). We must prioritize our spiritual growth and development over our digital distractions.

Moreover, we must be aware of the potential idolatry in our digital relationships. Are we using social media as a means to seek validation and affirmation from others? Are we comparing our lives to others and feeling inadequate? Or are we using these platforms to share the love of Christ with others?

As we navigate the digital landscape, let us remember that our ultimate goal is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, and let Him be our foundation, anchor, and hope (Hebrews 12:2). May our digital habits reflect our devotion to Him.
